Each year Loyola’s career services team reports on the first destination after graduation for the previous year’s graduating class. This year, 96.1% of the Class of 2020 are employed, enrolled in graduate school, and/or engaged in post-graduate or military service. The full-time annual salary of the graduates averaged $57,915.
“From our faculty’s expert instruction and mentorship to the many student development, co-curricular, and career services offerings available, the Loyola community ensured our senior class had the skills, vision, resources, and resilience to overcome the unimaginable challenges of graduating in 2020,” said Jim Dickinson, Ph.D., assistant vice president for career services. “I’m particularly grateful to our career services team for placing individual calls to each graduating senior in May of last year, where we offered continuing support and also collected some outcomes information to bolster our knowledge rate.”
For more than a decade, roughly 95% of Loyola graduates have reported that by the time of this survey they are employed, attending graduate school, serving in the military or engaged in a post-college service program such as the Jesuit Volunteer Corps or Teach for America. The career services team received survey responses and gathered research from sites like LinkedIn to obtain information on 698 of 917 graduates for a 76.1% knowledge rate (compared to 73.6% in 2019).
