McDaniel College is among the top 30 liberal arts colleges in the nation, according to Washington Monthly, and at the top of Washington Monthly’s “Best Bang for the Buck” list for the fourth consecutive year.
McDaniel is #24 among 239 liberal arts institutions evaluated by the magazine in three broad categories — social mobility, research and service — with McDaniel’s ROTC program ranked for the third consecutive year at #6.
On the “Best Bang for the Buck” list, McDaniel ranks #25 — out of 100 public and private institutions in the Northeast region. These best value colleges are recognized for “helping non-wealthy students attain marketable degrees at affordable prices.”
“Access, affordability and a commitment to helping every student succeed in maximizing their unique potential are hallmarks of a McDaniel education,” said McDaniel President Roger N. Casey. “We are proud to be recognized among the best in the nation.”
In addition to Washington Monthly, McDaniel recently ranked among “The 50 Best Liberal Arts Colleges” and as one of “The 50 Most Affordable Private Colleges” by MONEY magazine. McDaniel was also included in the top 100 of MONEY’s “Best Colleges” list.
Washington Monthly, which began its rankings in 2005, rates schools based “on what they did for their country.” To view the full Washington Monthly rank listings, visit www.WashingtonMonthly.com/2016-college-guide.
