Loyola University Maryland has chosen Johns Hopkins Health System President Ronald Peterson as the 2016 Business Leader of the Year for his lifelong dedication to the growth and innovation of Hopkins.
Loyola will honor Peterson at its annual Business Leader of the Year dinner on Nov. 7 at the Renaissance Harborplace Hotel in Baltimore.
Loyola University Maryland's Sellinger School of Business and Management has presented this annual award to business executives who align with Loyola's Jesuit commitment to community and service since 1983.
Last year's recipient of the Business Leader of the Year award was Joseph Sullivan, chairman and chief executive officer of Legg Mason Inc. Past honorees have included Alan Wilson, then CEO of McCormick & Co. Inc., and Randall M. Griffin, then CEO of Corporate Office Properties Trust, among others.
