Hood College and Carroll Community College signed an enrollment agreement Oct. 9 to ease the transition of CCC students in continuing their education at Hood.
The signers were: from Hood, Andrea E. Chapdelaine, Ph.D., president, and Debbie Ricker, Ph.D., provost and vice president for academic affairs; and from CCC, James Ball, Ed.D., president, and Rosalie Mince, Ph.D., vice president of academic and student affairs and dean of the faculty.
“We are excited to open this path to assist students at Carroll Community College with gaining a bachelor’s degree—and maybe more—at Hood College,” said Chapdelaine. “This agreement is an important step in making the enrollment process easier for these students.”
Under this agreement, CCC students who have a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher are guaranteed admission to Hood and will have access to an academic success counselor to assist in the transition. Eligible CCC students will be considered for several scholarships.
